We have 19 individually designed Hotel Rooms

Check out each of our 16 rooms and 3 cottages, each dedicated and inspired by a Scandinavian celebrity. Choose by design or personality and play the part. The list below is organized from our largest cottage down to our coziest room.

Want to know which floor the rooms are situated on? Click your way through the rooms listed below and read the fact box on the right. As there's no elevator to take you to the second and third floor that information might come in handy if you travel with heavy luggage or a wheel chair.

Birgit Nilsson

Go to list
An opulent suite dedicated to a soprano, with a windowed sitting room overlooking the town pond, a lush chaise longue and lots of velvet.

Attention light sleepers, this room is exposed to the sound of happy people in the Cozy Lounge.

Birgit Nilson was raised as an only child on a farm where her family (sixth-generation farmers) grew beets and potatoes. She worked there until she was 23.

At 28, Miss Nilsson made her operatic debut at the Royal Opera in Stockholm on October 9, 1946 as Agathe in ‘Der Freischütz’ with only 3 days notice. A brief year later, Nilsson began her stellar ascent as Lady Macbeth.

In 1984 she retired to her home town in southern Sweden, having traveled far from the days as a farmer’s daughter: fame, fortune, awards, and having her image as Turandot on a postage stamp.
